What are the definitions of 'Hot Swap' Mobile Racks ?

Features of SCSI Bus Hot-plugging Levels :
Level 1 :
A mechanical switch may be equipped and used for toggling power during replacement :
** Inserting a hard disk may cause an active drive to crash and eventually bring down the entire disk array.
** The replaced hard drive may not start-up.
** Data may be lost even if the system remains running.
Level 2 :
Hardware power-on delay, inrush current control and voltage regulation when plugging in a replacement :
** Data may be lost even if the system remains running.
Level 3 :
In addition to having the above features :
** The bus only transfers data after the power has been turned on and stabilised.
Level 4 :
In addition to having the above features :
** The bus is completely controlled by software / firmware for better monitoring and management.
