PowerNAS CMA Review by KitGuru

Published by Richard Parry on 3rd Nov 2015

We've just had a superb review from KitGuru on our PowerNAS CMA (See http://www.kitguru.net/site-news/highlights-v/leo-waldock/powernas-cma-8tb-review/ for the review)

CMA = Converged Media Appliance.

The ideal behind the system is a 3-in-1 appliance - Home Theatre PC (HTPC), NAS Server and Desktop PC - All in a single compact, power efficient and expandable product.

Our CMA runs Windows 8.1 - So everyone can with basic PC knowledge can use it and set it up. Windows 8.1 also provides excellent storage capabilities, with it's built in Storage Spaces, which allows for "RAID" type data protection and redundancy. It also allows easy expansion and upgrade should you need to install larger drives.

Our CMS comes in various sizes - Diskless, so you can install your own SATA HDD's, or pre-populated with 4x 1TB, 2TB, 3TB, 4TB, 5TB or 6TB drives. If populated with 4x 6TB HDD's this gives approx usable storage of 18TB in a tiny compact appliance - plenty for even the most power hungry users.
