Today's forecast sees heavy showers with more cloud in the future

Just a year ago Spiceworks did its first research report on how companies are dealing with cloud based file sharing, emails and productivity suites. In that report they found that many companies had yet to implement or establish a company approved solution, especially for file sharing and productivity suites – but that their employees were using these solutions anyway.

So whilst you could expect that employees will continue to use some services on their own, particularly file sharing offerings, it’s becoming apparent that companies take a more active approach and formally approve more services for use. The table below shows that there is a steady increase in company approved services over the last year and predicts what we might expect over the coming months in terms of growth.
