Often DELL and HP have a base SKU which is a good deal but doesn’t match the customers’ requirements – It’s very commonplace to order a base spec (for example a single Xeon, with a single 8GB memory module) and then we can upgrade it with more RAM and perhaps a second CPU, or add in additional disks. This is much more cost effective than buying the fully configured solution from HP or DELL and much quicker.
