Excellent little hot swap drive enclosure; just perfect for my upgraded home server. The fan is noisy and it is made from finest Chinesium so I replaced it with a Noctura NF-A8 NX, which is dead easy. With a little help from a soldering iron to make a slot in the fan shroud the new fan is being powered via one of the system fan headers on the motherboard. That way I can easily monitor it for fan failure. Fan noise is a lot lower and it is also likely to last a lot longer too. With three 6TB enterprise SATA drives I see temperatures in mid 30's Celsius to just under 40 on a hot day, which is just fine.

The drive case arrived on time, great in these difficult times. Fits exactly where I wanted it for as a base for my new drives.. Will use server case again as and when required.

Installation was fairly straightforward, it behaving like a block of two full height units. I was concerned I might have problems with the fatter 4Gb WDC drives I'm using, but no problem. The three installed drives are running at 32-33 degrees C . Previous unfanned sata trayless eclosures were showing 41-42 degrees C.. Others have complained of fan noise, but the location meant this was not an issue for me. In any case it looks easy enough to change.
