This CAL (Client Access License) product authorises access to Windows Server 2019 Datacenter or Standard Edition running on a fully Core-licensed server by up to five (5) specified users. The licensed users may use the software on any number of different devices, but this means only a maximum of five (5) devices can be used at any one time.

Any combination of additional CAL User licenses in single (1) or five (5) license packs can be purchased in order to meet the needs of your business or organisation.

Alternatively you can purchase CAL Device licenses that provide access for an unlimited number of different users, via a single (1) device per license.

Important - Please Note: Although it is possible to mix & match Client User CALs with Client Device CALs, this is not recommended as it can make it harder to manage which instance of access to the server is using which particular type of license. We recommend you understand the pros & cons of each license type before committing to a User or Device CAL solution.
