This CAL (Client Access License) product authorises access to Windows Server 2019 Datacenter or Standard Edition running on a fully Core-licensed server from up to five (5) devices. Any number of users may use the software on the licensed devices, but this means only a maximum of five (5) users can use the software at any one time.

Any combination of additional CAL Device licenses in single (1) or five (5) license packs can be purchased in order to meet the needs of your business or organisation.

Alternatively you can purchase CAL User licenses that provide access to a specified user per license from an unlimited number of devices.

Important - Please Note: Although it is possible to mix & match Client Device CALs with Client User CALs, this is not recommended as it can make it harder to manage which instance of access to the server is using which particular type of license. We recommend you understand the pros & cons of each license type before committing to a User or Device CAL solution.
