The 845DC PRO is equipped with Samsung's cutting-edge 3D V-NAND flash memory, which is fabricated using an innovative vertical architecture, stacking 24 cell layers on top of one another rather than trying to decrease the cells' length and width to fit today's shrinking form factors. The result is higher density and higher performance using a smaller footprint and a breakthrough in overcoming the density limits of conventional planar NAND architecture. - Deliver highly optimized performance for various data center applications
In order to handle the critical demands of the data center environment, an SSD must maintain sustained performance over extended periods of time. The Samsung 845DC PRO is specially optimized to excel in virtually any data center scenario. This enterprise-level, ultra-high-performance SSD provides unsurpassed sustained random and sequential read/write performance, particularly suitable for write-intensive data center applications Using Samsung's innovative 3D V-NAND technology and its data center optimized MDX controller. - Obtain consistent performance with low latency
It is essential to data center storage to limit the percentage of response times falling below a given value to maintain Quality of Service (QoS), which is measured by the consistency of steady performance the device delivers. Also of key importance in satisfying QoS requirements is low latency. Low latency is defined by how long it takes for a request to complete its round-trip cycle and measured by a single input/output (I/O) request on sequential and random workloads respectively. Cloud data centers, in particular, must be cognizant of QoS, as they are expected to provide the level of performance guaranteed by a Service Level Agreement (SLA) through parallel and real-time processing. - Data protection flow
Detect signal discrepancies and proactively remedy them in real time with the Error Correcting Code (ECC) engine. Smart technology of the 845DC PRO monitor the computer drives proactively to detect and report various reliability indicators with Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T.). When a failure is anticipated, the S.M.A.R.T. warns the user of impending drive failure, giving the user time to replace the ailing drive, avoiding data loss from unforeseen outages. - Dynamic thermal guard protection
