A nice sized 3U case for a HV home server setup, along with a 3 x 5.25 to 4 x 3.5 HDD bay and a couple of 3.5 to 2 x 2.5 adapters for SATA SSDs. An option for no fans if it made it a bit more cheaper would have been nice or option for PWM. I replaced them as they were a bit loud for where it is located.

This case will house an ATX motherboard. However you will be left with only two 3.5" drive bays and two 5.25" drive bays (absolute max). You lose the last two PCIe slots (there are only five slots on the rear) but don't think you can use a flexi riser, as the PSU covers the physical slots. I had a very short 150mm PSU and still it was very close to covering the front panel header, anything on the bottom left 150x50mm of the motherboard will be unuseable. (normally front panel sound will be there). If you don't have a cross head screw driver with a shaft of 6" and a magnetic tip don't buy this case, without one removing and reinstalling the 5.25" bay and the end 3.5" bay is......... let's say very difficult. Any full sized video card with side connecting power won't fit in this case, only cards with end power sockets. The four fans included are all molex (why?) so be prepared to mod or change them, I would prefer the case without fans and Â£5 cheaper. You get one USB2 and one USB3 on the front but both internal connectors are dual so it wastes half a header. But the USB3 lead ends in a parallel USB2 plug so you can use the front socket as USB2 if your mobo doesn't have a USB3 header. The bottom right mobo standoff is missing, no hole in the case either. Otherwise the case is as you would expect for a Â£60 rack mountable case. I would have given it 5* if not for the bay mounting screws being completely inaccessable and the fans being molex.

Well built case using decent gauge metal. MATX board fitted without any issues, put a 4 bay hot swap caddy in the external 5 1/4" bays which did mean it's a big tight with an ATX power supply, but careful cable management sorted it out. Only downside is that to remove the internal drive cages you do need a long thin screwdriver. Even with all the fans running (4 that come with the case, 2 more in the hot swap drive bay and the CPU one) together with the 4 hard drives the noise isn't bad and no buzzes from the case.

The case has built well its solid, the raw metal edges have been either folded or finished well. No little nicks or cuts assembling your server. The server case uk sites description is accurate. Postage as ever was quick, the whole purchase was efficient. Care must be taken with the motherboard you choose. I went with a full size ATX mobo so I had to remove the rear fans to initially load the motherboard. Once installed I was able to replace the rear fans without any problem.

This is a nice little case, but the 8 x 3.5inch bays are not all accessible when you put in an ATX motherboard. The bottom four get in the way of the motherboard, and that is not even taking into account running power and SATA to them. Otherwise this is a good case for the price and exactly the right fit for my needs.

Worth noting, while a nice little case, the 8 x 3.5inch bays are not all accessible when you put in an Micro ATX motherboard. The bottom two, if not the bottom 4 get in the way of the motherboard, and that is not even taking into account running power and SATA to them. As it happens this is fine for me, but others may be expecting more drive spaces
